Some things I've heard recently

Carrying your baby around like that must hurt your back!
No, it doesn't hurt at all.  Babywearing should not be painful.  If it is, you probably have the wrong carrier.

People who practice Attachment Parenting are weird hippies who don't vaccinate, let their kids do whatever they want, practice elimination communication, don't use strollers, etc.
Actually, these things have nothing to do with Attachment Parenting.  I absolutely do vaccinate as per the Australian schedule.  Henry is allowed to do whatever he wants right now because he is 5 months and his wants and needs are the same, but eventually wants and needs diverge and discipline comes into to play.  No, we won't be spanking, but Henry will have boundaries and reasonable, age-appropriate limits.  We don't really use a stroller much now, but of course as he gets older and heavier we will!  As far as elimination communication, I don't know much about it, but I do know that it is not inherently connected to Attachment Parenting.

And just to reiterate what Attachment parenting is about:
* Bonding with your baby
* Breastfeeding if possible, bottle feeding while close to baby otherwise (rather than just tossing bottle in with baby)
* Babywearing doesn't mean that if you put baby in a stroller once and awhile it will mess them up for life!
* Bedding close to baby -- side car bed, co sleep, crib in your room, just CLOSE
* Believing in your baby's cries and responding to them
* BALANCE BALANCE BALANCE... You do not have to be physically attached to your baby 24/7 to practice Attachment Parenting.

Just respond naturally to your baby... It should be common sense
